Mathematical Boundary And Inputs
Why This MattersRead the earlier reference in its original context, with its historical statements and limits preserved.
Understand the v0.2 monthly cash ledger, its household boundary, and its inputs. The model calculates consequences under stated assumptions; it does not predict likelihoods or settle every feasibility question.
The model is a monthly household cash ledger. It computes consequences of supplied inputs; it estimates no likelihoods and certifies no investment. A cash screen cannot establish legality, care feasibility, health suitability or ethical acceptability.
| Symbol | Meaning and unit |
|---|---|
| A, D, W | Asset value, attributable debt and net worth: dollars at a stated date. |
| L(t) | Unencumbered available cash: dollars at month end. Includes the policy reserve once. |
| Y(t) | Take-home earned income received during the month: dollars/month. |
| N(t) | Spendable net asset distributions, or asset cash deficit: dollars/month; may be negative. |
| E(t) | Essential household outflows including required household debt payments: dollars/month. |
| Q(t) | Other planned household consumption: dollars/month. |
| I(t) | Transfers from available cash to investments outside this liquidity pool: dollars/month. |
| Z(t) | One-off external cash use, such as an emergency payment: dollars in that month. |
| P | An opening acquisition or other cash use taken once before month 1: dollars. |
| F | Household-selected reserve floor: dollars. Not a universal recommendation. |
N is after asset operating costs, tax provision, maintenance provision and asset-related debt service. E excludes those already deducted costs. A reserve contribution treated as unavailable within N must not also be deducted from L. Record the boundary explicitly.
Investment transfers reduce this cash pool but are not automatically losses of net worth. Asset sales, new borrowing and tax refunds are not silently assumed. If required, enter their actual timing in a separately specified extension and disclose the financing.
