Evaluation: Feasibility Before Efficacy
Why This MattersRead the earlier reference in its original context, with its historical statements and limits preserved.
No evaluation has been run. This is a proposed sequence for testing whether the framework is understandable, usable and worth a larger comparative study. Development decisions and empirical results must remain separate.

Phase A: Comprehension And Practical Fit
Conduct a small, purposively varied usability study. Include irregular earners, caregivers and people with debt; exclude no one solely for stress or limited financial literacy. Use synthetic tasks first and allow participants to skip personal questions. The number of participants is a design choice, not an efficacy sample size.
| Question | Observation |
|---|---|
| Do readers understand the terms? | Ask them to distinguish asset value, cash flow, debt and expenses in a short example. |
| Can readers apply the cash screen? | Ask them to identify an earlier cash shortfall despite a positive ending balance. |
| Does the process fit real constraints? | Record time, confusing language, accessibility needs and unaffordable assumptions. |
| Does it create harmful interpretations? | Ask whether the text implied shame, required borrowing, emotional perfection or a judgment of personal worth. |
| What should be revised? | Retain counterexamples and disagreements; document changes rather than averaging them away. |
Phase B: Short Implementation Feasibility
After revision, offer a time-limited pilot, for example 8-12 weeks. Its purpose is retention, burden, record completeness and discovery of failure modes. Report all invited, enrolled and retained participants, missing observations and adverse effects. A pre-post improvement has no automatic causal interpretation.
Before any recruitment, define access, consent, data retention, withdrawal and appropriate review for the actual study setting. No recruitment, data collection or external distribution is authorized by this build.
