How The Two Methods Are Compared.
The monthly budget is the required payments at the start plus the extra amount you enter. Each month the example adds interest, makes required payments, then sends the rest to debts in the chosen order. It never pays more than the amount owed.
What This Simplified Schedule Leaves Out.
This example leaves out fees, daily interest, rate changes, promotional deadlines, and payment rules specific to a contract. It is not a lender’s payoff quote. It also does not show that one method is easier for everyone to follow.
How To Read The ResultCompare the interest and payoff path, then check the actual contract and when cash is available. Neither method is best for everyone.
